RIAA is a non-profit trade association representing the U. S. sound recording industry. RIAA serves the common interests of recording companies and addresses their needs, worldwide, in the face of evolving technologies.

Description of Membership:

The RIAA membership includes US-based companies engaged in the authorized production and sale of sound recordings for home use under their own label. RIAA member companies today create, manufacture and/or distribute more than 90% of all legitimate recordings produced in the United States .
